In which languages can the private tours be booked?

Language makes or breaks a guided tour
The best story, told in a language you only half understand, is half a story. Language is not a detail in a guided tour — it's the whole thing. It's how history lands, how humour works, how a city stops being a backdrop and starts making sense.
At Crusade, tours are given in the language that works for your group.
English
The majority of Crusade tours run in English. It's the working language for most international visitors to Bruges — travellers from the US, the UK, Australia, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and beyond. English tours are available for all formats: walking tours, cycling tours, and culinary walks.
If you're travelling as an international group with mixed nationalities, English is almost always the right choice.
Dutch
For Belgian and Dutch visitors who prefer their own language, tours are available in Dutch. There's something different about hearing the history of a Flemish city told in Flemish — certain stories and expressions simply work better in the language they belong to.
Dutch tours are available for all formats and group sizes.
French
Xavier has working notions of French and can guide basic exchanges and general orientation in French. For a full in-depth historical tour, however, French is not the primary option — the depth of content and the flow of storytelling work best in English or Dutch.
If your group speaks French, the best solution is to book in English. Most French-speaking visitors find that perfectly workable. If you have specific questions or a particular situation, get in touch before you book and we'll find a practical solution together.
Mixed groups
Private means flexible. If your group includes both Dutch and English speakers, we can discuss a practical approach — the core tour in one language with key points covered in both where it matters. Get in touch before booking so we can set it up properly.
